Acrylic Signs

Acrylic is one of our most widely used materials for interior or exterior signs. It is also known as Perspex or Plexiglass.

We use two types of acrylic, cast and extruded. Both are high quality, versatile thermoplastic materials that provide many sign making benefits.

Acrylic Sign Printing

Whilst both types of acrylic are excellent for sign making, if you are having signs made that are to be laser cut, routed or polished, it would be best to ask for extruded acrylic. We are here to help you decide if you are unsure as to which to specify.

Acrylic is also recyclable; another reason why it is one of our favourites!

Some of the advantages of using Acrylic Signs:

  • Hard wearing
  • Weather resistant
  • Easy to work with
  • Lightweight
  • Long lasting
  • Large range of colours
  • Many finishes i.e. gloss, matt, frosted,
  • Aesthetically pleasing (great looking!)
  • Easy to clean

Because it is ideal for big or small, internal or external signs you will see acrylic used for a huge range of applications.

Acrylic printing tips:

  • Take time to choose the right finish for your sign, for example, acrylic signs with polished edges give a very professional impression
  • Consider a cut acrylic logo instead of a printed one, they look super impressive
  • Create added impact by mounting your acrylic using stand-offs (small metal posts that enable your sign to stand away from the wall)
  • Why not introduce other materials to your acrylic signs such as metal or wood? Combining materials can add individuality to your sign and your brand.
