Ever Greener

Despite the current Covid uncertainties we are pushing forward with our sustainability plans. We are very excited to announce that CSDPrint is about to take delivery of a new machine that will take our greener printing capabilities to the next level.

The Vutek super-wide format inkjet printer we have chosen really is next generation. It has been designed to provide faster, higher quality print whilst significantly reducing the impact on the environment.

Powerful LED technology ensures much less energy is required; the hybrid roll-to-roll/flatbed printer also uses less consumables, more sustainable inks and creates less waste. We can’t wait to have it up and running!

In line with our efforts to continuously improve our environmental credentials, we have been working closely with our materials supplier’s Pyramid building up stocks of recycled and 100% recyclable substrates. We are encouraging clients wherever possible to move away from products such as PVC-based boards for example to the fantastic array of sustainable alternatives now available.

More and more clients are opting for the new paper and board ranges we have. Our 3mm Dispa is proving to be a popular alternative to Foamex and 10mm Dufaylite ultra board is excellent for producing a whole host of sturdy point of sale displays. For those needing waterproofed materials we have an exceptional 100% recycled Polypropylene board which is itself recyclable and is available in a very large range of thicknesses and finishes.

When it comes to recycling we continue to be vigilant ensuring everything is carefully separated, collected and disposed of responsibly.

Having been in the printing business for over 30 years we’ve seen many many changes to our industry but the shift towards protecting resources is going to prove to be perhaps the most significant one. It’s great to see the printing industry re-inventing itself and embracing its environmental responsibilities and we are making sure we’re part of the revolution too.
